Project Overview

The AIR7000 Phase 2B Project at Edinburgh Base involves the construction of new facilities required for the delivery of the new P-8A Poseidon Aircrafts.

Some of the works associated with the project include:

  • Bulk earthworks
  • Stormwater installations
  • Subgrade preparation
  • Transition pavement preparations
  • Taxi-lane flexible pavements
  • Concrete apron pavements
  • Fuel systems
  • Advanced ground lighting
  • Infrastructure services installations

Key new facilities will include:

  • Hangar maintenance and Operational facility
  • Operational Conversion facility (OCF)
  • Runway extension
  • Taxiways and runway thresholds
  • High intensity approach lighting
  • Apron
  • Aircraft rinse facility
  • Engineering infrastructure

  • Analyse all activities and procedures and develop a detailed programme for project construction
  • Provide professional, effective strategies and an efficient working schedule to ensure the project remained on schedule and to minimise additional risks
