Project Overview

The Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) is a contract for the provision of the total asset management and the capability upgrade management for ANZAC Class Frigates. The contract is currently being executed by a four-way alliance between the Commonwealth’s Capability Acquisition
and Sustainment Group (CASG), BAE Systems Australia (BAE), Saab Australia (Saab).and Naval Ship Management Australia (NSM).

 

TBH’s Role

TBH has been engaged to successfully stand up a Project Management Office (PMO) organisation that effectively and efficiently performs the liaison role between the Alliance Management Office (AMO), being the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA), and the waterfront teams being BAE, NSM and Saab, in a way that delivers better performance, value and customer experience when compared to the current arrangement. The role performed by TBH and the deliverables included:

  • Facilitating a number of stakeholder meetings and workshops in collaboration with the client;
  • Compiling options for a PMO that could deliver effectively and efficiently at the waterfront;
  • Investigating the preferred waterfront PMO options and solutioning the structure, roles and responsibilities; and
  • Presenting a business case to enable, transition, build and implement a waterfront PMO.
