Project Overview
The North-South Bypass Tunnel (NSBT), is a $3.2 billion toll road built under the Brisbane River, which crosses between the suburbs of Woolloongabba and Bowen Hills in Brisbane, Australia.
The project was Brisbane’s first privately financed inner city toll road. The road was the city’s largest road infrastructure project and one of Queensland’s largest infrastructure projects. With a tunnel length of 4.8km it was the longest road tunnel in the country at the time of completion. Project features include:
- Multiple subcontractors
- Underground and surface works
- Complex stakeholder and subcontractor co-ordination
- Restricted working environment
TBH’s Role
TBH was commissioned by United Group to review the current electrical, controls and instrumentation programme and prepare a comparison programme in isolation
