Project Overview
The AIR7000 Phase 2B Project at Edinburgh Base involves the construction of new facilities required for the delivery of the new P-8A Poseidon Aircrafts.
Some of the works associated with the project include:
- Bulk earthworks
- Stormwater installations
- Subgrade preparation
- Transition pavement preparations
- Taxi-lane flexible pavements
- Concrete apron pavements
- Fuel systems
- Advanced ground lighting
- Infrastructure services installations
Key new facilities will include:
- Hangar maintenance and Operational facility
- Operational Conversion facility (OCF)
- Runway extension
- Taxiways and runway thresholds
- High intensity approach lighting
- Apron
- Aircraft rinse facility
- Engineering infrastructure

TBH was engaged to:
- Analyse all activities and procedures and develop a detailed programme for project construction
- Provide professional, effective strategies and an efficient working schedule to ensure the project remained on schedule and to minimise additional risks
