Project Overview
RMS has engaged a delivery partner to provide a management team for the upgrade of the last remaining 155km of the Pacific Highway to a four lane, dual carriageway motorway, providing two lanes in each direction. This involves the procurement of a number of designers and a number of construction contractors for the duplication and rebuilding of sections of the highway. Specialist contractors will be engaged to design and construct major bridges over the Clarence River and Richmond River.
RMS has conducted extensive property acquisition, investigations and development of environmental management plans to facilitate early commencement of construction. Early works also include treatment of soft soils as well as extensive relocation of utilities.
TBH’s Role
EIG engaged TBH to developed and maintain the master programme for preconstruction activities as part of its role as transaction manager for RMS.
TBH has worked closely with EIG and with the RMS team based both in Grafton and Sydney to clarify and update the master programme. Updating the programme weekly has enabled TBH to produce fortnightly reports and a dashboard report for the project steering committee.
TBH provided the initial construction programme to the DP tenderers and a status update later in the tender period reflecting progress with early works and property acquisition. TBH then participated in the tender assessment for the DP, providing analysis of tender programmes to EIG and to RMS.
