Sydney Metro Northwest

Australia

Project Overview

The Sydney Metro Northwest (SMN) was a priority rail infrastructure project commissioned by the NSW Government. SMN is a 23km rail link built to support Sydney’s growing North West region. Eight new railway stations were built in Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Showground, Norwest, Bella Vista, Kellyville, Rouse Hill, and Cudgegong Road. Additionally, 4,000 commuter parking spaces and 15km of tunnel were constructed between Bella Vista and Epping.

TBH’s Role

TBH was engaged to provide consulting services on the SMN project to assist in defining the project objectives and development of management plans, recommendations for improving processes, accountabilities and performance expectations. TBH recommended a continuous improvement process, which helped the SMN project team to reach an optimal level of maturity.

TBH also developed and implemented a customised integrated management system that aligned with the Department of Transport for New South Wales Quality Management System based on ISO 9001:2008.
