Roy Hill – Ultrafine Iron Recovery Project

Australia

Project Overview

The Roy Hill Ultrafines Facility optimises the recovery of iron ore units from its existing processing faciliry, units which would have otherwise ended up in its tails storage facility. The scope of Goodline’s works included the installation of Principal supplied equipment for SMP items and the installation of associated electrical, instrumentation and control system works.

TBH’s Role

The Principal was to supply various sections of the plant in a modularised form, which included the installation of all structural and piping items as per module plans. As the modules arrived on site – not as per the modularised plans – TBH remeassured the piping works that had to be installed by Goodline on site. This involved:

  • Marking up the modularised plans on site, as they had been delivered
  • Referencing these marked up plans with ISO’s to determine the quantities of piping that has to be installed by Goodline
  • Revising the initial MTO format to determine the value of the additional works
