The mine itself is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">located 650km north of Adelaide and 130km north west of Olympic Dam in the Gawler Craton of South Australia.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The project consisted of:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Development of an open pit mine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> A conventional grind and flotation processing plant<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Construction of a permanent village<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Construction of a haulage road, power line and bore field<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>TBH\u2019s Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">TBH was initially engaged by CATCON to prepare the contract programme for the civil works of the Prominent Hill<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mine project.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The contract programme included the procurement and construction of the project, as well as handover dates for<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ongoing commencement of the structural, mechanical and electrical works of the project.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">TBH provided the following services on the project:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Review and interpretation of all contract documentation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Development of a contract programme for the client<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Development and execution of reporting processes and procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Periodic reviews of the programme and monitor status<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">CATCON used the programme as a practical management tool enabling it to successfully achieve all Contract<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">handover dates.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">To find out more about TBH\u2019s Planning &amp; Scheduling experience, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/tbhconsultancy.com\/services\/programming-scheduling-advisory\/\">Planning &amp; Scheduling<\/a> page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Overview CATCON was awarded the contract for the Prominent Hill Mine Civil Works in South Australia.
