The event&#8217;s successful delivery involved around 2,000 staff and 20,000 volunteers, coordinated by the Doha Asian Games Organising Committee (DAGOC), which oversaw all Games services\u2014including security, transport, accommodation, IT, catering, media, and event operations\u2014alongside venue and infrastructure delivery.<\/p>\n<p>GHD Global, engaged by DAGOC, developed the strategic plan defining the Games&#8217; scope, timelines, and delivery structure, as well as the master plan for venues, city sites, and supporting infrastructure. The team also provided organisational advice and led an interactive handover process to equip DAGOC\u2019s directors and program managers with the tools and structure needed to deliver their responsibilities effectively.<\/p>\n<h3>TBH\u2019s Role<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing the overall programme for the Games, aligning critical milestones and delivery priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Providing strategic advice on the timing and sequencing of key issues, resource ramp-up, and organisational transition from programme-based to venue-based management.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting key sections of the strategic plan related to planning and organisational development.<\/li>\n<li>Integrating inputs from multiple GHD sub-consultants into coherent strategic plan documents.<\/li>\n<li>Providing editorial support and quality review of strategic and progress reports.<\/li>\n<li>Managing the production of several formal DAGOC progress reports to stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Value Created<\/h3>\n<p>TBH\u2019s input gave DAGOC a clear and achievable delivery roadmap, aligning resources and organisational structure with the event\u2019s complex requirements. The integrated programme and strategic advice improved delivery certainty and mitigated critical risks.
