Project Overview
The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), clubhouse extension is comprised of an eight-storey extension to its existing clubhouse to provide additional facilities to its existing members. These facilities include a new swimming pool, roof top tennis courts, virtual reality gaming, Formula 1 and golf simulator, fine dining and children’s play area.
The extension merges the existing clubhouse with the new facilities, such as the hospitality, membership and car park systems, mobile and online membership applications. It also includes an upgrade of the existing facilities.
TBH’s Role
The HKJC engaged TBH to develop an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and project wide reporting. The IMS was a critical path-based schedule comprised of the operational requirements associated with bringing the facility online and operational into the future.
Developing the schedule involved engaging 25+ business units and identifying all of the integrated dependencies throughout the project to manage the impacts and relationships of each stakeholder to the overall operations.
Key project areas such as construction and systems were detailed to establish and determine timelines of the facility handovers to stakeholders in order to achieve operational readiness.
The implementation of tailored project controls and reports supported the HKJC management with total project visibility and allowed control mechanisms to manage the project throughout each stage to achieve Operational Readiness.
