Project Overview
The Mosman High School redevelopment project is a $57 million upgrade in Sydney’s North Shore to replace the existing old school buildings with a new state of the art four-story structure.
The new building features 16 new classrooms, an expanded library, a performing arts theatre, a multi-purpose hall and a roof top play and sports court. The project is replacing older facilities and includes innovative outdoor spaces like a rooftop sports multi-court.
The project was delivered while the existing school remained operational and was staged to minimise disruption to ongoing teaching and learning.
TBH’s Role
TBH was originally engaged by Schools Infrastructure to develop an initial Master Programme to assist with the planning and management of the works from Concept Design, through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Schematic Design process through to construction and handover.
As part of the initial engagement TBH assisted with the analysis of different delivery models, validated key project durations and monitored progress of key consultants and project deliverables.
TBH was then re-engaged to assist through the delivery phase of the project, reviewing Contractor Programmes & construction methodologies, providing commercial and programming advice, reviewing and assessing Contractor EOT / Variation claims and providing ongoing planning and reporting support for the project team through to delivery.
Minimisation disruption to the existing school operations while trying to maintain programme and delivery the works on time was a key factor in the successful delivery of this project.
