Melbourne Airport Elevated Road Project

Project Overview

The Elevated Road and Forecourt Stage 2 Project includes the construction of an elevated roadway network that connects the T4 Express Link (Stage 1) to the existing Terminal 1, 2, 3 (T123) multi-level car park with new elevated exit ramps from T123 car park will join back onto the Tullamarine Freeway to complete the journey. In addition, Levels 2 and 3 of the T123 car park will be re-configurated to enable passenger drop-off and pick-up from within the car park with passengers being connected to the terminals via a new Central Pedestrian Bridge link and an additional North Bridge Link to T1. The current forecourt will remain open to commercial vehicles.

TBH’s Role

TBH was engaged by RP Infrastructure on behalf of Melbourne Airport to assist in the Master Planning for the project. As design progressed, this developed into detailed planning and construction staging to inform stakeholders, and assist the Airport in making decisions around procurement strategies.

Following on from the initial Master Planning, TBH assisted in the procurement process during workshops with Tenderers and finally tender evaluations. TBH has also been engaged to provide monthly monitoring and Master Planning throughout the delivery of the project.
