Project Overview
The Kwinana Waste to Energy project will develop a waste processing facility which will use moving grate technology to process approximately 400,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste, commercial and industrial waste and/or pre-sorted construction and demolition waste per annum to produce approximately 36 MW of baseload power for export to the grid.
TBH’s Role
TBH was engaged by Avertas Energy to carry out a detailed independent review including:
- Analyse and report on the progress updates, integrity and compliance of the detailed delivery programs provided by Contractor.
- Provide an independent probabilistic forecast for project completion including conducting Monte Carlo analysis capturing key risks, issues and opportunities.
- Provide expert services in relation to various delay and disruption claims submitted by the Contractor including;
- Validate the basis of the delay claims submitted, including reviewing the programme provided which supports the Contractors claims.
- Provide expert advice in relation to the merits of the Contractors delay analysis for the sake of the parties’ negotiations.
- Prepare expert reports to assist Avertas in responding to the Contractors claims in the negotiations and/or more formal despite resolution processes
