Project Overview
The state-of-the-art four storey structure is designed to accommodate cruise operation facilities including customs, immigration, quarantine, police, and other supporting services. With terminal facilities to be at par with the world’s best, KTCTB is at the forefront of global marine travel, providing top-of-theline services to cruise passengers and is set to become an attractive destination for both locals and tourists alike. The KTCTB was completion in 2013 and is expected to cement Hong Kong’s position as a premier cruise hub in the region.
TBH’s Role
TBH was engaged to provide programming services to BYME Engineering (Hong Kong) Ltd, the MEP contractor for the (KTCTB) development.
To establish the most effective delivery timeframe, TBH worked closely with the client to develop a detailed MEP programme that co-ordinates and aligns with the main contractor’s master programme. The MEP programme outlined all major MEP procurement, detailed sequencing of the multitude of MEP trades and, ultimately, the testing and commissioning and government approvals processes that lead to operation of the facility.
TBH provided regular monitoring and maintenance in addition to offering expert advice throughout the project phase.
Monthly status reports included updates on all activities in the programme, discussion of critical issues, recommendations as to actions for recovery in case of delay, and the forecasting of realistic completion dates.
