Project Overview
The $50bn Gorgon liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, located in Western Australia is the country’s most prominent single resource natural gas project – it features among the largest natural gas projects across the globe.
TBH’s Role
Transaction Management services were provided in the form of a peer review of procurement and contractual structures of the EPCM delivery model. This included a review of individual contractor packages to ensure adequate selection and onboarding were achieved. A detailed review was undertaken to gain a specific understanding of the procurement and contractual risk structures, to provide assessment and advice with regards to ongoing mitigation strategies.
The Outcome
Project procurement and contractual arrangements were developed to satisfy the designated risk apportionment within contractual terms. Processes were put in place to ensure that key risks were understood and managed.
