Project Overview
The project involved the development of a 33 storey commerical building with a three storey annexe building above the existing Brisbane City Plaza site. The main tower itself consists of 29 levels of “A grade” commercial space with an approximate NLA of 40,000m2. The development had to achieve a minimum of 4.5 stars NABLERS rating and also a minmum of 5 stars green star as built. The main tower was built around a central core with three distinct elements; the ground floor, podium and tower. The glazed, triple-height lobby provides an impressive introduction to the tower. 275 George Street has spectacular 360 degrees views of the Brisbane River and cityscape and is situated within Brisbane’s cultural hub. One of the key features of the development was the incorporation of the exisiting core and footings, which were built at the time the original building was constructed in 1974.
