Cranbrook School Stage 2 Redevelopment

Project Overview

The Cranbrook School Stage 2 redevelopment project was a comprehensive campus renewal that included the construction of a new five-storey sandstone building featuring classrooms, a large theatre, a library, dining areas, and a chapel. Other elements included an indoor Olympic-sized pool and a gymnasium, which were located under the sports field and associated public domain works.

The project is a significant upgrade to the campus facilities, designed to support innovative teaching practices and provide new opportunities for students.

TBH’s Role

TBH was engaged by the school to provide independent programming advisory services for this project. As part of this role TBH was responsible for providing technical and commercial reviews of Tender proposals and construction methodologies, undertaking detailed reviews of Contractor programmes, undertaking independent progress monitoring and reporting through the delivery of the works and undertaking detailed analysis of Contractor EOT & Variation claims in line with the Contract requirements.

TBH was engaged on this project through the overall delivery of the works, and as a result of this ongoing role we were able to provide specific and targeted programming advice and insights to the teams to help mitigate and minimise delays as they occurred.

By ensuring the works were delivered and administered in line with the Contract requirements ensured that no unnecessary conflicts or additional administration was required to successfully deliver the works.
