Project Overview

In 2018, Essential Energy approved a new program of works called PowerOn Upgrade program. The objective of the project is to upgrade the software and hardware of the existing distribution management system (DMS) to enable more efficient and reliable network operations for monitoring and controlling the electricity distribution network.

 

TBH’s Role

TBH was engaged to:

  • Plan, develop and manage complex program schedules and ensure all project streams are in place and maintained as per program governance, utilising Microsoft Project Online. Assisting program manager with critical path information, what-if scenarios for planning and resource allocation as well resource profile levelling.
  • Producing regular updates and reporting on program progress, inclusive of predicted and actual costs, high level timeline, milestones tracking and slippage, resource modelling and monthly status and cost reporting.
  • Troubleshooting and monitoring scheduling problems with project management best practice and principles and undertaking necessary corrections.
