What is your current role at TBH?

I am a Planning and Scheduling Consultant based in the Malaysia office, with a background in Development Management. I have extensive experience working on high-profile data centre projects, a sector that is rapidly growing across Southeast Asia, we well as district cooling projects, further strengthening my expertise in this space.

Why do you find these services and industries interesting?

Construction projects are dynamic and fast-paced, involving a wide range of stakeholders and constantly evolving demands. This is especially true in the data centre sector, where projects often operate on accelerated timelines.

What I find most fascinating is that no two projects are ever the same, each comes with its own unique challenges. Being part of this industry allows me to contribute to complex problem-solving processes and deliver well-structured, sustainable outcomes that help advance the built environment.

What did you study, and what made you decide on a career in consulting and ultimately at TBH?

I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Management in the northern region of Malaysia. During my time at university, I was exposed to township planning, which laid the foundation for my interest in the built environment.

After graduating, I moved into planning and scheduling roles, working with both contractors and consultants. Over five years working in consulting, I developed an appreciation for the profession, particularly the diverse challenges and continuous opportunities for growth it offers.

What I find truly rewarding about this profession is being part of a community of specialists who provide expert advice, engage with various stakeholders and collaborate to solve complex problems.

Joining TBH was a natural decision for me. The company’s values align closely with my own, and its culture is shaped by exceptional people and leadership who continuously support and create opportunities for growth.

What major projects have you worked on while at TBH?

I have been involved in several high-profile, confidential data centre projects for major clients.

On these projects, I have contributed to advising on best practices and applying contemporary strategic planning methodologies across all phases of programme development and asset delivery.

I take pride in the strong outcomes delivered by our team, reflected in the high levels of client satisfaction on these projects.

Tell us about a career highlight!

One of the key turning points in my career was transitioning from township planning to planning and scheduling. Since then, I have had the opportunity to contribute to notable projects in Malaysia, working with reputable clients and highly capable teams.

Another significant milestone was joining TBH during a pivotal phase in my personal life. I was balancing the responsibilities of welcoming my first child while establishing myself professionally during a demanding period. Despite these challenges, I was able to overcome them with the support of a strong and collaborative team, making it a truly meaningful experience.

In regard to your career, what are you passionate about?

I am passionate about problem-solving and developing efficient, practical solutions that improve the way projects are delivered. I enjoy finding smarter ways of working that not only address risks but also create value for the wider team.

Being part of the construction industry means constantly facing new challenges, and that is something I truly enjoy. It drives me to continuously improve, both professionally and personally.

What major innovations or industry trends are you most excited about?

One of the most exciting and defining trends in the industry today is the adoption of digital tools and technology. As the industry evolves, more projects are leveraging digital platforms to enhance progress tracking, cost management and overall visibility.

These innovations are transforming how teams collaborate and make decisions, ultimately leading to more efficient and informed project delivery.

What difference are you hoping to make for TBH in the region you work in?

My focus at TBH is to expand our client base while strengthening our reputation through strong local relationships. By understanding our clients’ unique challenges, I aim to deliver tailored solutions that reinforce our position as leaders in Planning and Scheduling.

I am also committed to contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale projects by helping teams navigate complexities, mitigate risks and optimise overall performance.
