Project Overview
Rewiring the Nation is the Australian Government’s program to make clean energy more accessible and affordable across Australia.
This program is investing $20 billion to modernise the Australian electricity grid and infrastructure. This is a centrepiece of the Australian Government’s Powering Australia plan. Together, these will lower power prices and provide renewable energy across the nation.
Many of Australia’s energy assets, like power stations, are ageing. Hence the need to invest in essential upgrades and new projects to ensure we have reliable power supply.
New transmission lines will deliver renewable energy to cities, towns, and regional communities. This will provide reliable and affordable electricity to Australians.
The plan will also help Australia meet its emissions reduction target of 43% by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050. This major investment is a key part of how Australia responds to climate change through growing our renewable energy sector.

The TBH Difference
While the industry is well established, nothing has been delivered to the required scale in Australia for some decades. TBH is positioned strongly to provide key advice on transmission projects due to our broad experience through project development and into delivery of Australia’s largest and complex projects.
Providing services including Strategic Advice, IPC, time and cost management, and quantitative risk analysis, TBH is able to guide our clients through high risk areas and bottlenecks that are faced on most transmission projects.
Our work has also extended from the project level to the portfolio level to provide insights into areas such as allocation of critical resource, highlighting potential procurement efficiencies, and navigation the planning pathway.
