Services Australia MTS Refresh

Project Overview

Services Australia, the central online service platform for work, education, health, disability and government payments for Australian citizens, contracted Telstra to provide ICT infrastructure and IT systems to improve the speed and reliability of their online services platform.

The overall deliverables for the Services Australia MTS Refresh included:

• Consolidating five separate IVRs across different Australian states to a single SDWAN network.
• Developing an SDN-capable device platform
• Creating a DNA centre management platform
• Upgrading wireless access points and controller platforms
• Removing and securely disposing of old voice gateways
• Installing and user-testing 54 new voice gateways

TBH’s Role

Due to the complexity and scale of Services Australia’s MTS Refresh, Telstra subcontracted TBH to provide Planning & Scheduling and P3M services, including:

• Planning & Scheduling the overall deliverables for the Services Australia MTS Refresh
• Establishing governance across all workstreams, ensuring clear communication channels between stakeholders and project teams
• Documenting and reporting project progress, risks and issues
• Critical Analysis and mitigation strategies
