AIPM Project of the Year Awards 2021
Established by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) in 2000, the Project Management Achievement Awards (PMAAs) exist to recognise, honour and promote outstanding achievements in Program and Project Management.
Director Ben Atkin led TBH’s work on this award-winning project, which included overseeing the Master Scheduling, Project Controls and Project Governance for the Refresh of Service Australia’s Network around Australia.
A Complex National Project Completed on Time And Under Budget
Services Australia’s National Network Refresh was a complex project that involved upgrading both ICT hardware and software. “It was necessary to purchase, transport, deliver and install equipment across Australia in a logistically complex fashion.” Ben Atkin, said, “The PMs on this project were visiting multiple Services Australia offices and buildings each week in a highly coordinated and well-planned rollout. It was very satisfying to be a part of such a successful and smooth project.”
Alexander Schaffer, a TBH Project Manager on this project, said, “Our PMO team facilitated the coordination of both software and hardware aspects of this upgrade. By providing clear insight on progress, forecasts into the future and providing trusted advice to the project team. Our goal was to achieve the best outcome for Telstra and Services Australia by completing the project and delivering value to Services Australia’s clients as soon as possible.”
