Project Overview
Water Infrastructure NSW is delivering a wide range of projects to provide long-term security and ensure water remains a protected resource. This includes increasing storage capacity through new dams, exploring new and innovative technologies that help improve the efficient use of water and investing in infrastructure enabling water to be recycled and reused safely and effectively. This includes more than 12 major programs that consist of more than 50 mid-size to large projects.
TBH’s Role
TBH was asked to develop a P6 set-up Portfolio environment and structure to support the growth and maturity of the portfolio and WINSW organisation and allow for all WINSW projects that would to be visible regardless of their size, budget, complexity, and duration. This includes more than 12 major programs that consist of more than 50 mid-size to large projects. TBH has been responsible for planning and scheduling support of the portfolio since 2021. TBH’s role includes:
• Creation of Best Practice Templates: Develop standardized templates tailored to the primary project types, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry best practices.
• Development of Comprehensive Schedules: Produce detailed and realistic project schedules, incorporating all critical milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
• Programme Updates and Reviews: Perform regular schedule updates, make necessary programme adjustments, and conduct weekly reviews with project teams to monitor progress and address issues proactively
• Preparation of Look-Ahead Reports: Generate weekly and monthly look-ahead reports to facilitate project team discussions, enabling informed decision-making and effective planning for upcoming activities.
