Project Overview
The University of Melbourne acquired the former Salvation Army Training College building at 303 Royal Parade, Parkville. The project involved converting the existing 11 storey Salvation Army Parkville training college into student accommodation. The Major Project Group (MPG) of Melbourne University was assigned to carry out the planning and management of the project.
TBH’s Role
MPG engaged TBH to prepare a high-level Master Programme. This was to enable MPG stakeholders to understand various timeframes, key decision points and milestones for the delivery of the project.
In preparing the Master Programme, TBH conducted site visits and meetings to understand key requirements, processes and the interdependencies between the various stakeholders. TBH then provided MPG with multiple high-level master programmes based on various what-if scenarios and identified the key risks for consideration for each specific scenario. TBH assisted MPG in understanding the various timeframes and constraints of the project to make informed decisions which assisted in the successful delivery of the project.
